Dr. K.A. Ranjitha Devi

With more than two decades of experience in research, academics and teaching , Ranjitha is a scientist who diverted her skills from research to technical training. A doctorate in Marine Biology, she did her doctoral research with the prestigious Dept. Of Science and Technology fellowship endowed by the Government of India. She was awarded her PhD by the University of Madras in the department of Advanced Biology.
This was after her Masters in Botany from the Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Chennai.
Her thesis was on Fossil Diatoms in the Indian Ocean. A seminal study used in prospecting off shore deposits of hydrocarbon elements and other petroleum products by organizations like ONGC.
She then undertook a series of research projects and guided research students in the Institute of Marine Biology, Bangalore.
This was followed by projects in University of Melbourne, Australia.
An advanced course in Computer and Software from NIIT reinforced her technical edge
As a part of her academic pursuits she developed a keen interest in training students and professionals in basic and advanced technical and science subjects. In pursuit of this interest she has served as a curriculum adviser in Biology in some of the leading schools in Chennai and New Delhi.
She is now fully into evolving high end technical modules in specialised areas both in IT and Non IT sectors.
